Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Initial policy draft. The business operator must add its legal entity, privacy contact, applicable jurisdiction and retention schedule before accepting customer information for commercial operations.

1. Information collected

When you sign in, Businesshelpdesk uses your account identifier, email address and display name. Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. Inspection requests contain your company name, inspection address, preferred date and time, and any notes you submit. Do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in request notes.

2. How information is used

Account information identifies your requests and protects access to your dashboard. Request details are used to assess inspection needs, coordinate appointments, maintain service records and respond to service issues. A request is not a confirmed appointment.

3. Sign-in and storage

Businesshelpdesk manages email/password authentication using an HttpOnly session cookie. The database stores hashes of session tokens and expires sessions after seven days. Inspection records are stored in the site's server-side database and associated with your account identifier. The application uses an essential cookie for session management. This version does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts.

4. Service providers and external resources

The site operator hosts the application and a SQLite database on its server. Its hosting provider may process connection and service information. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and a building photograph from Unsplash; your browser connects to these providers and may disclose connection information such as an IP address. Their own privacy notices apply to their services. Businesshelpdesk does not implement a sale of personal data or an advertising sharing feature.

5. Access and protection

Your dashboard and booking actions require authentication. The application limits inspection records to the signed-in account. Operational access may also be available to authorized hosting administrators and service providers. No internet service can promise absolute security.

6. Retention and requests

Cancellation changes a request's status and does not delete its record. The operator must establish a retention period and a verified contact channel for access, correction and deletion requests before commercial use. Until then, avoid submitting real customer information. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.

7. Changes and contact

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. The business operator's privacy contact is pending configuration.
